Radio host Alex Jones now has a voice in the White House press. Journalist and Infowars contributor Jerome Corsi recently tweeted from inside the White House press briefing room to announce that he’d received press access.
The Hill claimed that Corsi only received a temporary one-day pass and accused Infowars of lying. Corsi responded by calling the mainstream media “insane” and asserting that the White House has in fact given him a standard three-month press pass. An article on Infowars.com trumpeted Corsi’s new role as Washington Bureau Chief and speculated that Jones himself may attend some press briefings. Infowars, which interviewed President Donald Trump in December, 2015, called Corsi’s admittance to the White House an “epic blow” to the establishment press.
Connecticut Democratic representative Chris Murphy, who despises Infowars for questioning the Sandy Hook school shooting, said the news that Infowars had received White House access made him “want to throw up.”
Corsi frequently tweets in all caps and is a strong supporter of US President Donald Trump. Recently he praised Trump’s foreign visit to Saudi Arabia, casting it as a brave stand against Islamic extremism. Corsi also applauded Trump’s speech in Riyadh which called on “nations of conscience” to “isolate” Iran. The speech inaccurately accused Iran of being the main driver of instability and extremism in the Middle East; the speech has been lambasted by critics as a “groveling” embarrassment full of “hypocrisy and condescension” but has been lauded by neoconservative hawks as “pretty good” and “statesmanlike.” Trump’s Saudi visit also included the signing of a $110 billion arms deal with the kingdom, which is currently engaged in a brutal war in Yemen where it has repeatedly bombed civilian targets with US-made weapons and placed millions at risk of starvation. Heated rhetoric against Iran continued on the next leg of Trump’s trip in Israel.
Corsi holds a Ph.D. from Harvard and is a New York Times bestselling author as well as a senior reporter at World Net Daily. His most recent non-fiction book is entitled America for Sale: Fighting the New World Order, Surviving a Global Depression, and Preserving USA Sovereignty. He has written about the danger of a nuclear-armed Iran and his belief that US politicians have been bought off by the Iranian government. He has also written books about securing the United States’ borders, opposition to former President Barack Obama and holds the conviction Obama was not born in the United States, and his belief that the current scientific consensus on global oil supply is bogus.
According to an online biography of Corsi on www.teaparty.org, he is “an expert on political violence and terrorism” and has past experience in a range of fields, including in facilitating counterterrorism training for embassy staff, conducting high-level research, and in developing world-class financial management systems.
Corsi’s most recent post on Infowars speaks of a Deep State coup d’état against Trump and expresses disgust at much of the media for advancing the “Russian collusion meme.” Corsi advocates that Trump fire “all White House employees with any tie to the prior Obama administration and/or the Clinton presidential campaign.”
News was announced May 22 by OANN that various White House staffers have been identified as responsible for recent leaks and that Trump does indeed plan to fire “multiple people” when he gets back from his eight-day foreign trip.
