ISIS Threatens Christmas Attack On New York, London, Paris & Vatican With Chilling Posters

While the world is getting into the Christmas spirit, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is doing what it does best: threaten terror attacks.

The ISIS terrorists are threatening to carry out an attack on New York City at Christmas time. The fanatics have released a chilling poster that shows Santa Claus standing next to a box of dynamite looking out over a crowd of shoppers in Times Square. The poster features a caption that reads: “We meet at Christmas in New York… soon”.

ISISThe latest chilling propaganda poster is one of the many warnings the ISIS has released in the past few weeks.

The terrorists have also threatened to carry out attacks during Christmas time across Europe. One of the terrifying posters shows Santa kneeling in front of a terrorist with London’s Regent Street, decked out in Christmas lights, in the background. Another shows an ISIS terrorist with a bloody knife, looking out over a Christmas market, with Paris’ Eiffel Tower in the foreground.

ISISThe jihadist propaganda contains images of jihadists and blood, including a hand holding a bloody knife, superimposed on the scenes, along with a message in English, French, and German warning: “Soon on your holidays”.

One poster, released on encrypted social media channels, shows an ISIS terrorist firing an assault rifle next to a burning Union Flag. An ISIS flag flies from the top of a burning Big Ben, which also has a large crack running across the building, The Daily Mail reported. Running down the side of the poster is a message, reading: ‘We will destroy your country, as you destroyed our country’.

ISISThe other poster shows a bloody knife over an image of Queen Elizabeth II, with the message; ‘Under observation… soon’.

ISISEarlier, a poster emerged showing a terrorist standing next to a rocket launcher looking down at St Peter’s Square in the Vatican, along with a message urging extremists: “Do not hold back with your blood, the reward is paradise”. The message warned that ‘the crusaders’ feast is approaching’, suggesting the ISIS is planning a terror attack on the Catholic Church’s holy city during Christmas.

ISISLast week, a poster was shared online showing a masked terrorist driving towards St Peter’s Basilica with a gun and a backpack inside his car. At the top of the poster was the message ‘Christmas blood’ with the line ‘so wait…’ written in red underneath. reports:

The posters are a chilling reminder of the terror attack on a Berlin Christmas Market last year. On December 19, Tunisian asylum seeker Anis Amri drove a truck into the crowds at the Christmas Market at Breitscheidplatz in Berlin. Twelve people died, including the original driver of the truck who was shot by Amri when he hijacked the vehicle, and 56 others were injured.”

How real is the threat? On November 16, the United States updated its travel advisory and warned its citizens traveling abroad to be alert to the possibility that terrorist groups and extremists may carry out attacks “with little or no warning” during the Christmas and New Year season.

In the advisory, the U.S., citing last year’s Christmas market attack in Berlin and the Istanbul terror attack on New Year’s Eve, specifically warned of “heightened risk of terrorist attacks” at “soft targets” [restaurants, airports, shopping centers and districts, hotels, and places of tourist attraction] all over Europe, including the UK, Germany, and France.
