Revelation: Judeo-Christian Bible Twice as Violent as Islamic Quran

In the last few decades, the world has witnessed extreme violence, mostly associated with adherents of the Islamic faith. Especially after the 9//11 attacks and the subsequent invasion of the U.S. in Iraq and other places in the Middle East on the pretext of fighting terror, violence associated with Islam has rose to an unprecedented level.

Currently, there are numerous so-called jihadist groups using Islam as a cloak to perpetuate all kinds of crimes around the world. The Western mainstream media has deliberately tagged these extremist groups with Islam, making it look as though these groups are acting in accordance with the teachings of their religion.

But of course, many observers maintain that these groups have nothing to do with Islam. They fight for power, control and money. Their real goal is political authority so that they can control people based on their whims and caprices. We also know that these groups receive covert support from Western intelligence agencies, helping them to carry out their heinous crimes.

Extremist and terrorist groups including ISIS, al-Qaeda, Boko Haram, al Shabab, Taliban and others aligning themselves with Islam, are doing it under false pretense. Islam is one of the four Abrahamic religions that represent peace and tranquility on Earth. In fact, one needs not go beyond the first chapter of the Holy Quran (Sūrat al-Fātiḥah) to understand the teachings of Islam. The chapter specifically requests adherents to constantly ask for direction from God in order to be counted among the righteous people in the afterlife.

In order to set the record straight regarding violence in the popular Abrahamic religions, a software engineer named Tom Anderson compared the number of violent scenarios in the Islamic Quran to that of the Judeo-Christian Bible.

Although Tom stressed that his goal is not to prove or disprove that Islam is more violent than other religions, he admitted the study was inspired by the ongoing public debate on whether or not terrorism connected with Islamic fundamentalism reflects something inherently and distinctly violent about Islam, compared to other major religions.

According to Tom, he used a text analytics software he had developed, the Odin Text, to analyze both the New International Version of both the Old and New Testaments of the Judeo-Christian Bible, as well as an English-language version of the Quran, translated in 1957.

Tom explained it took just two minutes for his software to read and analyze the three books. By categorizing words into eight emotions – Joy, Anticipation, Anger, Disgust, Sadness, Surprise, Fear/Anxiety and Trust – the analysis found the Bible scored higher for anger and much lower for trust than the Quran.

Also, the analysis found that the Old Testament was more violent than the New Testament, and more than twice as violent as the Quran. The analysis further found killing and destruction occurred more frequently in the Judeo- Christian texts than the Islamic Quran.

“Of the three texts, the content in the Old Testament appears to be the most violent. Killing and destruction are referenced slightly more often in the New Testament (2.8%) than in the Quran (2.1%), but the Old Testament clearly leads—more than twice that of the Quran—in mentions of destruction and killing (5.3%),” Tom explained.

  1. did you folks read the New Testament? Did you learn the part about how we live in Grace now? I suspect not.

  2. Uhhhhhh….are you judging and/Or assuming? I suspect so. But hey as long as you do it with GRACE I’m sure all is okay.

  3. So muslims only need to put out another work of fiction stating that they too are in grace now and all will be good ?

  4. Haha if we’re chalking up violence to books written far after we’d been killing each other for food and survival…. that’s pretttttty cool!

I guess we can justify it better with promises of an afterlife than living meal to meal now.

  5. The aim that the Quran was made is to bring back the old Testament to the people,to bring back the Darkness. Now why the old Testament is in the Bible I do not know, but the principles that Jesus gave to us have nothing to do with the old ones.

  6. Honestly I am a practicing Christian and read my bible daily how can you be pen state this lie. Yes some of these words may be in the bible however it’s the context of the scripture they are written in. Pathetic. Everyone keep playing down the Islamic Ideology and we will keep paying the price.

    • “its the context of the scripture”.. It’s sad that you are quick to say this about the bible but give 0 on the quran. Your ignorance is showiing. “its the context of the scripture” applies to quran to.

  7. The Old Testament is pretty intense, however , Jesus came to bring the New Testament. The New Testament has very little to do with violence and more to do with love. I would be willing to bet that man ruined the Old Testament and that’s why Jesus had to come set it straight . I mean look how simple the 10 commandments were and then humans had to add the rest of the shit like stoning someone etc . Totally against what the 10 commandments said.

  8. Quran has 1 version since more than 1400 years ago. only the translations are in many languages. but the original text in arabic, still the same.
So do u have the original bible in hebrew? are u very sure it hasn’t been manipulated by the church? any reason why do you have old, new, king james etc version? so the word of God not so firm and confirm until u need to issue various versions?

  9. If the bible is ones spiritual authority, it means that book is your end all of all things to think as it is God’s moral law to man. However, if you pick and choose from it a-la-carte, then it is not your spiritual authority at all. SO, gonna pick up a rock and stone a faggot? Your bible commands it, it is your authority; correct…..or is it?
How about the abortion clinic bombings that I REMEBER oh so well. Or the KKK and Arian Nation which espouses belief in Jesus Christ as well. Christianity has extremists living right here in the good ole USA. Should we fear all Christians as well? As a faggot myself, I fear the Christian nut jobs living here at home more than I do Muslim terrorists abroad. But that’s perspective for ya. I actually see the difference between extremism and true belief. So, if you want to criticize another religion for its violence, look to your own and see the same image. Love the truth, two edged sword it is.

  10. and yet muslims show incredible hostility in the south eastern parts of the world such as India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia and Bangladesh. Don’t mistake me showing that all muslims are bad it’s just that most of them are extremist conversion enthusiasts and shower the innocents with a bad image. Also, don’t say islam is completely non violent with all the muslim conquering and pillagings, and the current conversions going on when mosques brainwash, bribe or convince innocent Buddhists, Hindus, Catholics and Christians on converting from their “false beliefs”. We get equality, but in this case it looks like most people take it as wipe out everybody and make themselves supreme. Well breaking news, it’s all about everyone living happily and friendly without some conversion or conquering idiocies going on everywhere.

  11. This guy is full of it. I have read the King James version old and new – I am a christian.
I have read the Quran. The Quran is an instruction book on how rape women, behead people you do not like and hate everything that exists outside of the Quran.
Ask your self this. When was the last time a christian strapped a bomb on and yell “Jesus is great” before he pushes the trigger?

    • are you mentally ok? the usa dropped two nuclear bombs, was that christian or muslim who dropped them, hmmm…
